Who we are

Sunderland Business Address Ltd, company no. 17477435. Registered in England and Wales. Our address is 94–96 Fulwell Road, Roker, Sunderland SR6 9QR. In these terms, “we” means us and “you” means the person or business signing up.

What we provide

A business address at 94–96 Fulwell Road, Roker, Sunderland SR6 9QR, with a suite number for you. We provide three monthly plans:

• Simple (£29 a month): A business address for your website, invoices, and letterheads.
• Admin (£49 a month): Everything in Simple, plus your official Companies House addresses.
• Exec (£79 a month): Everything in Admin, plus your original letters posted to you each week.

You may use the address as your registered office and directors' service address only on the Admin and Exec plans.

Letters only

We handle letters only, on every plan. We don't accept parcels or packets. We accept signed-for letters on the Admin and Exec plans only. Don't give the address to couriers or use it for returns. We return parcels and post for unknown people to the sender within 5 working days.

We check who you are

The law requires us to check every customer before their address goes live. We check:

• your photo ID
• your home address
• the UK sanctions list, and whether you are a politically exposed person
• for a company, the directors and the people who own or control it, using Companies House

Your address goes live only when every check has passed and our money laundering officer has signed off. We check again every 12 months. If you don't give us what we need, we can't start or carry on the service.

We keep your ID documents and check records for 5 years after you leave, because the law requires it. Then we delete them.

Your post

Letters that arrive on a working day are logged that day, and we text and email you. If you agree to scanning, we open and scan your letters the same working day and you can read them in your online account. If you don't agree, we hold your letters unopened for you to collect, or on Exec we post them on with your weekly forwarding.

We keep scans for 90 days, then delete them for good. Download anything you need to keep.

Fees and payment

There is a one-off £39 verification and activation fee. It pays for your checks and setting up your account. It isn't refundable once your checks have run.

Your plan is paid monthly in advance. If a payment fails, we block your account and hold your post. If it is still unpaid after 30 days, we end the service.

Cancelling

You can cancel at any time by giving us 30 days' notice. The address stops being yours to use at the end of the notice. If you use it as your registered office, you must file the change with Companies House before then. You must also tell anyone else who writes to you.

After you leave, we delete your scans 90 days later. We keep your ID and check records for 5 years, as the law requires.

Our right to refuse or end the service

We can refuse any application without giving a reason. We can end the service, with notice where it is fair to give it, if:

• your checks fail, or you don't complete them
• you give us false or misleading information
• you use the address for anything unlawful, or in a way that harms us or our other customers
• you don't pay
• the law or a regulator requires us to

If we end the service, we stop accepting post for you. If you use the address as your registered office, you must change it with Companies House straight away.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. We'll email you at least 30 days before a change affects you. If you don't agree, you can cancel before it takes effect.
